SFS is an engineering firm that has sustainability as its cornerstone in design and management. Comprehensive sustainability that is summarized by the acronym ESG (Environmental – Social – Governance).
Engineering seeks solutions to problems, which are compatible with the principle of sustainable development, aiming at maximum utilization of natural resources, minimum land consumption and minimum waste of energy sources.
Engineering must avoid making any alterations to the environment in which it operates that may adversely affect the ecological balance and the preservation of cultural, artistic, historical and landscape assets*.

LEED Certification
LEED® is a voluntary certification protocol applicable to any type of building, encompassing the entire life cycle of the building from design to construction.

BREEAM Certification
BREEAM is an environmental sustainability assessment methodology developed in 1988 by the Building Research Establishment (BRE).

Landscape design
Noting that the landscape performs important functions of general interest in the cultural, ecological, environmental, and social spheres and is a favorable resource for economic activity, and that it can contribute to job creation if safeguarded, managed, and planned appropriately.

Site Sustainability Management
The main responsibility is to support the achievement of the project’s sustainability aspirations in the construction, delivery and closure phases, and to achieve the desired green rating. They are the champions of on-site sustainability and ensure that the environmental impacts of the site are minimized.

Life Cycle Assessment
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is an analytical and systematic methodology to analyze, quantify and compare the environmental impacts associated with a product, procedure or service, within an identified context.
